Distinguished Educator Program
The District 300 Foundation for Educational Excellence seeks to recognize educators who display professional excellence, innovativeness and dedication towards an enriched District 300 student learning experience.
Educator Nomination Criteria
Each District 300 school is encouraged to establish a committee to select ONE staff member to be nominated for this award.
The educator must have at least 3 years of District 300 teaching experience at the time the nomination is made and be at least 5 years from anticipated retirement.
The nominee should demonstrate an understanding of the needs of learners and implement innovative techniques to bring students to a high level of achievement while also inspiring colleagues to employ best practices.
The following positions are considered for educator nominations:
Teachers, instructional coaches, interventionists, psychologists, social workers, guidance counselors, speech and language, reading/literacy specialists, media specialists.
